My new client looked at me and said, βI have to get you this book!β
I had introduced our Much Smarter learning method to him and his daughter. He enthusiastically insisted on giving me a copy of Josh Waitzkinβs book, πππ πΌπ§π© ππ ππππ§π£ππ£π.
Waitzkin had been a child chess wizard who became an International Grand Master at an astonishingly young age. At the age of 16, Waitzkin decided to launch a new career... in Tai Chi martial arts.
Within 5 years, he won a world Tai Chi championship.
In his book, Waitzkin notes that he rose to the top of two very different occupations! He was able to apply what he learned as a chess champion to an entirely different game, and become a champion in THAT game too!
He explained that while he considers himself a good chess player and a good martial artist, he is, most of all, a good learner.
And when we know how to learn, we can learn anything we want!
We at Much Smarter teach our students to approach each learning challenge as they would a game of skill.
So, whether their challenge is in math, or reading, or science, or computer coding, they can apply what they learn in mastery of one game to mastery of another and then another.
Their learning prowess both accelerates learning and makes it more joyful.Β
There is no subject they need to fear.
And they can choose, like Josh Waitzkin did, to expand what they are good at to play their biggest game.
